Project Description
These photos show a woman in her 50s before and after upper and lower eyelid surgery. She had undergone lower eyelid surgery elsewhere three years prior but felt she still looked tired and undecorrected.⠀ ⠀ Examination showed excess skin at her upper eyelids and excess skin, fat and eyelid laxity at her lower eyelids. She underwent upper and lower blepharoplasty with a lower eyelid skin pinch and cathopexy. A small amount of filler was used after surgery to blend the eyelid-cheek junction and improve lines in her upper lip.⠀ ⠀ After surgery she looks younger and less tired without looking overdone or surgical. Note that there is some pigmentation under her left eye which gives the illusion of mild residual puffiness even though the area is actually flat. Spotty pigmentation can often be improved with lasers (if desired) but also covers easily with makeup.⠀
