These photos show a man in his mid-50s before and after upper blepharoplasty surgery. ⠀ ⠀ After surgery, the patient has a more youthful appearance without looking fake or overdone. Note how he looks “happier” in the after photo even though his facial expression is the same. Hooded upper eyelids often give patients a sad appearance.⠀ ⠀ Upper eyelid surgery is very different in men and women. In men, it’s important to take just the right amount of skin to lift the eyelids without feminizing the eyelid appearance. When done correct, eyelid surgery can help both men and women maintain a youthful, energetic appearance.⠀
