Project Description
These photos show a woman in her early 40s before and after upper blepharoplasty surgery. Before surgery, the skin of upper eyelids is hitting her eyelashes, leading to an aged, sad look. After removal of the excess skin, the upper eyelids have a more youthful appearance, but still look “natural” and not overdone. There is now a platform to wear makeup on the upper eyelids, without having this covered by the extra skin. Note the overall improvement in the appearance of her face. She looks happier in the after photo even though her facial expression is almost the same. (She may be smiling ever so slightly in the after photo but overall her expression is very similar), Hooded upper eyelids can lead to a sad facial expression, which often improves after surgery.
