These photos show a woman in her early 30s before and after upper blepharoplasty surgery. ⠀ ⠀ Upper eyelid hooding is not always an age related change. This patient started noticing hooding in her teenage years, which continued to worsen over time. She also has significant bony asymmetry which makes her left eye look smaller than the right.⠀ ⠀ After surgery, she looks younger and refreshed but still looks natural and age appropriate. She now has an even platform on which to apply eyeliner, which would just get covered by the extra skin previously. She also has improved symmetry and balance.
