]]> These photos show a woman in her early-60s before and nine months after lower blepharoplasty surgery. Three vials of filler were added to the midface to treat volume loss in this area and 0.5cc of filler was added to the under eye area to blend the eyelid-cheek junction. As you can see, removal of her under eye bags and treating her volume loss leads to a younger, less tired look. Notice how she still looks like herself and doesnt look fake or unnatural. You may notice some changes in her upper eyelids, even though no surgery was performed there. Removal of large lower eyelid bags can lead to subtle changes in the upper eyelids as the fat behind the eyes redistributes after some of it is removed.

Overcorrection, especially in the upper eyelids, can feminize a face. The goal for this patient was a more youthful refreshed look while maintaining his masculinity.

]]> The 50s are the new 30s. This patient has trusted me to take care of her face with a number of treatments since I first met her four years ago and I am really grateful to her for sharing her photos. I performed lower blepharoplasty surgery on her four years ago to remove the under eye bags. I also performed numerous “tweaks” during this time, including regular Botox treatments, fillers in her lower face and cheeks and radiofrequency microneedling for her skin. These are my favorite types of photos to share. The lower eyelid surgery really helps, but adding the little tweaks helps balance her face and really adds to the anti-aging effect. I think you can see she looks fabulous in her early 50s and even better than she did several years ago.

The injections were performed slowly over multiple sessions 2-3 weeks apart. Prior to the procedure, she has puffiness under her eyes and hollowing in her upper cheeks, which give her a “tired” look. Blending the eyelid-cheek junction and adding volume to her cheeks gives her look a more youthful and less tired appearance. She already has great lips, so I added subtle volume to reduce wrinkling and produce a more hydrated appearance in this area. Botox was used to reduce dynamic wrinkling in between her eyebrows.
